Aravana workers seek pay hike, protest

Workers stage a protest in front of the aravana plant near Sannidhanam demanding hike in wages, on Tuesday.

Aravana workers protested at Sannidhanam demanding hike in salaries. About 200 workers staged dharna in front of the aravana plant at Sannidhanam after the Mandala Pooja.
Later, the protesters marched towards Devaswom Board Office to hold discussion with the officials.
But the Board president refused to talk to them stating that the demand can be considered only by the Board.
“We have been working without hike in wages for the last two years, so our demand is genuine”, said a worker to DC.
